Newton Anchor Bar™
The Newton Anchor Bar™ device, or NAB™, the ultimate solution for providing a rescue strategy for operatives working from access cradles and Building Maintenance Units (BMU).
The Newton Anchor Bar™ is an easy to use rescue device, which requires minimal training for users, and eliminates the need for rope access specialists.
Complies with BS EN 795:2012 - Class A1 Anchor Device
Easy to Assemble | Easy to Rescue | Easy to Maintain | Easy to Train
To assist Building Owners and Facilities Managers alike, NAB™ comes complete with a detailed risk assessment and method statement. This document can be included for any future access cradle works.
NAB™ is supplied in a hard-wearing, high visibility bag, complete with handles for ease of transportation, that operatives will keep with them whilst working in the access cradle. NAB™ can be stored with the building maintenance manager in a secure location when it is not in use.
Easy to Assemble
Manufactured using lightweight, hard wearing components, NAB™ uses the wire rope of the access cradle to form an anchor point conforming to BS EN 795:2012, the British Standard for Personal Fall Protection Equipment Anchor Devices.
Easy to Rescue
NAB™ comes complete with a controlled descent rescue device that is used during an emergency to lower a casualty to safety. Initially used to hoist the casualty up out of the cradle, the auto-descent device lowers casualties to safety at a controlled speed of 1 metre per second.
Easy to Maintain
In accordance with British Standards, NAB™ should be inspected annually by a competent, trained person. This ensures that, whenever it may be required, NAB™ is ready for use.
Easy to Train
End user training can take place at the building where NAB™ is to be used. This ensures operatives get to use NAB™ in the environment which they may be required to use it in taking on board all associated risks. Upon completion of training, full photographic certification is provided demonstrating a delegate’s competence.
